What's a good iOS app for, you know, seeing what a tattoo might look like before I commit? My students are all about the ink these days, and I'm curious.

Well, after a bit of digging (why do they hide the settings button there?), I found INKStory. It took me a few days to figure out all the features, but it's like having a teaching assistant in your pocket, but for tattoos. You can upload a picture of your arm, or wherever, and then try out different tattoo designs to see how they look. It's surprisingly intuitive, even I could figure it out. My students showed me this trick to get the best results, actually. It's a good way to avoid any…regrets. I'm thinking of maybe a small buckeye, you know, Ohio pride. Once you get the hang of it, it’s pretty neat. Certainly beats drawing on yourself with a Sharpie, which, believe me, I've seen students do. And with a 4.6 rating, it seems like others find it useful too.
