What's a good iOS app for making calls and sending texts over WiFi when you don't want to use your regular phone plan? Sometimes I'm at the school and the reception is just awful, you know?

So, I started using Talkatone a few months ago, and it's been pretty useful, especially at school where the cell service can be spotty depending on where you are in the building. It basically lets you make calls and send texts using WiFi instead of your regular phone plan. Took me a few days to figure out all the features, I'm not gonna lie, but even I could figure it out eventually. It's surprisingly intuitive once you get the hang of it. My students showed me this trick for finding the settings – why do they hide the settings button there?! Anyway, it's like having a teaching assistant in your pocket, but for phone calls. I've even used it to call parents when I'm traveling and don't want to rack up roaming charges. It's been a lifesaver, especially for those long parent-teacher conference days when I need to stay in touch but don't want to drain my data.
