Alright, so I've been using the NBC News app for a few weeks now. Took me a few days to figure out all the features, I won't lie. My students actually showed me how to set up the news alerts – apparently, that's how they stay informed these days. It's surprisingly intuitive once you get the hang of it. I can get the top stories during my lunch break, and it's like having a teaching assistant in your pocket, keeping me up-to-date. I can even watch clips of the news broadcasts, which is handy when I miss the evening news. Why do they hide the settings button there, though? Anyway, it's been pretty reliable for getting the gist of what's going on in the world. Beats relying on Facebook for my news, that's for sure. Plus, they seem to have a pretty good handle on things, you know, factual reporting and all that. It's not perfect, but it's a solid way to stay informed, even for an old dog like me.
