Okay, so I've been using Windfinder for a while now, and it's actually reliable, which is saying something 'cause I've tried a bunch of weather apps that just⦠don't work when you need them. It's like having a pocket reference guide, but for wind. I mainly use it to check the wind conditions before heading out to Lake Michigan. After a 12-hour shift, the last thing I want is to get to the lake and find out the wind's totally wrong for sailing. It's got a pretty simple interface, which is a huge plus 'cause I'm too tired to learn complicated apps, but this one just works. Hasn't crashed once in the last six months, which is more than I can say for some of the charting systems at the hospital, haha! Seriously, though, for a no-fuss, actually reliable wind app, this one's a winner.
Key Features
Reliable wind forecasts (doesn't crash!)
Simple, easy-to-use interface (perfect for tired nurses)
Helpful for planning outdoor activities near the lake
"Windfinder is most accurate of numerous weather/ wind sites however, it would be very helpful for more updates in terms of current wind conditions."
