What's a good Android app that'll let me, as a parent, keep track of where my kids are and what they're doing on their phones, without being *too* intrusive? You know, like a responsible chaperone, not Big Brother.

I've been using T-Mobile FamilyMode, and it's been pretty helpful. It lets you see their location, manage screen time, and filter content. Took me a few days to figure out all the features, though!

Well, after a bit of trial and error – and a little help from my students, bless their tech-savvy hearts – I've settled on T-Mobile FamilyMode. It's like having a teaching assistant in your pocket, keeping an eye on things. I can see where my kids are after school, which puts my mind at ease, especially with Sarah's soccer practice running late sometimes. Plus, I can set time limits for certain apps, which is great for curbing those late-night TikTok binges. And even filter content! It's surprisingly intuitive, even I could figure it out. Why do they hide the settings button there, though? I mean, come on! It’s not perfect, but it strikes a good balance between keeping them safe and giving them some independence. Once you get the hang of it, it's a pretty useful tool for us less technologically inclined parents.
