So, I've been trying out this app called GigU – Drive Smart, Earn More. Took me a few days to figure out all the features, but my students were a big help, bless their hearts. It's supposed to analyze your earnings while you're driving for Uber or Lyft and tell you if you're making enough per mile and per hour. It's like having a teaching assistant in your pocket, but for your side hustle! Apparently, it reads the screen and figures out the pay, which is surprisingly intuitive, even I could figure it out. I'm hoping it will help me be a bit more strategic about which rides I accept. Why do they hide the settings button there, though? Anyway, once you get the hang of it, it might just save you some gas money and time. I'm hoping to avoid those situations where I'm practically paying to drive someone across town.
