So, I've been messing around with MangaGo, and the offline reading feature is pretty clutch. The dev team really thought about how people actually consume manga, especially on commutes. You can download entire series if you want, and it stores them locally. Under the hood, it looks like they're using a decent compression algorithm because the file sizes aren't insane. I've been able to download like, 10 chapters, and it's barely using 500MB of space. The UI for managing your downloads is straightforward too β no spaghetti code situations here. The app loads in about 2-3 seconds on my Pixel 7, even with all those downloaded chapters, which is a plus. It's not perfect, but for offline manga reading, it gets the job done. Just make sure you have enough storage!
