What's a good Android app for figuring out what kind of plant that is when I'm out hiking?

LeafSnap Plant Identification is pretty solid. You snap a pic, and it tells you what it is. The image recognition is surprisingly good!

Okay, so LeafSnap Plant Identification is what I've been using on my hikes lately. The main thing is its plant identification – you just take a photo of a leaf, flower, or even bark, and it tries to figure out what it is. From a technical standpoint, the image recognition is surprisingly accurate, even with weird lighting or partial images. The UI is clean and simple, which I appreciate. It's not bloated with unnecessary features, which is a plus. The database seems pretty extensive; I've thrown some obscure plants at it, and it's usually got a match. The app loads in about 2-3 seconds on my Pixel 7, and it barely uses 60MB of RAM while running, which is efficient. The dev team really thought about the core functionality here. No more spaghetti code situations, hopefully! Overall, it's a solid tool for any plant enthusiast.
