So, my students actually recommended I look into apps that track driving, said it could save me money. I ended up settling on DynamicDrive. It's from National General Insurance, and it basically monitors how you drive – things like speeding, hard braking, and even how much you use your phone. It took me a hot minute to figure out where all the settings were hidden (why do they hide the settings button there?), but once you get the hang of it, it's not too bad. It's kind of like having a teaching assistant in your pocket, constantly observing your every move... except instead of grading papers, it's grading my driving! The idea is that if you drive safely, you get a better insurance rate. I'm still in the early stages, but so far, it seems surprisingly intuitive, even I could figure it out. I'm hoping it'll encourage me to be a bit more careful on the road, especially when I'm rushing to get to school on time. Plus, maybe I can finally afford that new set of golf clubs!
