Look, I don't need a texting app that tries to be a social media platform. I need to tell Bob to bring the backhoe to the Johnson site, and I need to know he got the message. This 'Messages' app? It's built like a brick house. It ain't pretty, but it works. I've dropped my phone in the mud twice this week, and the app still fires up. The tutorial is useless, I'll give you that, but you don't need a PhD to figure out how to send a text. Battery life seems okay so far, haven't noticed it draining faster than usual. It's actually rugged, unlike some of these other fancy apps. Gets the job done, even with gloves on. Rain doesn't seem to mess with it either, which is a plus here in Denver. No frills, no fuss. Just texts.
