Alright, so I've been looking into this myself. As a data analyst, I appreciate having control over, well, everything. This "DSLR HD Camera" app by DOSA Apps seems promising. The key thing is manual controls – I want to adjust ISO, white balance, shutter speed, the whole shebang. If I'm gonna bother using my phone camera, I want it to feel like I'm actually *controlling* something. Plus, it says it shoots in 4K HD, which, if the data backs that up, is pretty sweet. I'm tired of relying on auto-mode algorithms that guess what I want. I want clean datasets, not over-processed garbage. I haven't dug into whether it has an API for pulling the raw image data (that'd be amazing), but if the graphs are actually readable and the exports to CSV are under 10 seconds, it might be worth a shot. Finally, goodbye to Excel hell, but for photos!
