Okay, so I've been trying out "Offline Music Player: Play MP3," and I'm cautiously optimistic. The information architecture actually makes sense, which is a huge win. I mean, how many music apps have a completely baffling interface? This one is relatively design-forward, and the UI isn't an eyesore, thank goodness. The color palette is easy on the eyes, and the typography is legible. It's not winning any design awards, but it's functional and doesn't offend my sensibilities. Plus, it plays my MP3s offline, which is the whole point, right? I'm not seeing a ton of customization options, but honestly, sometimes less is more. As long as it plays my music and doesn't crash, I'm good. I'm also happy to see it works in airplane mode, which is clutch for travel. I'll definitely be keeping this one on my phone for now.
