Okay, so what's a decent Android app for managing a huge pile of comic book files, like, without crashing every five minutes when I'm trying to sort them?

For handling tons of CBZ and CBR files, "Comic Book Reader (cbz/cbr)" by Android Tools (ru) is surprisingly robust. The file management is actually... usable. Data nerd approved!

Seriously, I've got, like, gigabytes of comics scanned in, and most readers choke trying to even list the files. This app, "Comic Book Reader (cbz/cbr)", actually handles it. The interface isn't going to win any design awards, but the file management is surprisingly efficient. I can actually rename stuff, sort by series, and generally not feel like I'm back in Excel hell trying to wrangle data. Plus, the rendering is clean, and I haven't had it crash on me *yet* when dealing with large files, which is a statistical anomaly in itself! The developer is Android Tools (ru). I wouldn't say it's beautiful, but it's functional, and sometimes that's all a data analyst like me needs. It's a solid 4.5/5 stars for a reason. Makes reading comics on my commute statistically satisfying. Now, if only it had an API for custom scripts...
