VeryFit App Review: Affordable Health Tracking with Surprising Depth

by Shenzhen DO Intelligent Technology Co., Ltd.

This companion app for DO Intelligent's smartwatches provides a centralized hub for health and connectivity data. Designed to help users monitor activity, sleep, and notifications from a budget-friendly wearable, it presents a compelling alternative to pricier ecosystems. Reviews indicate it offers robust core functionality, especially for users prioritizing value over brand-name prestige.

Detailed Review

Positioned as the central nervous system for a range of affordable smartwatches, the VeryFit app by Shenzhen DO Intelligent Technology Co., Ltd. bridges the gap between low-cost hardware and comprehensive health tracking. The app's primary role is to sync, display, and interpret data collected by compatible wearables, which typically include step counting, heart rate monitoring, sleep analysis, and notification relay. This creates a package that undercuts major competitors on price while promising similar foundational features, appealing to cost-conscious consumers and those entering the smartwatch market for the first time. In terms of core functionality, the app delivers a standard suite of fitness tracking metrics. Users can view daily step counts, distance traveled, and calorie estimates, with historical data presented in clear charts. Sleep tracking breaks down durations of light, deep, and REM sleep, providing scores that several users find comparable to more established brands. Beyond health, the app manages device settings, allowing users to customize watch faces, control notification preferences from social media and messaging apps, and handle call functions directly from the wrist. The interface for pairing and managing these connections is frequently cited as straightforward, even for less tech-savvy individuals. Real-world usage reveals an experience centered on practicality. A common scenario involves a user checking their summarized daily activity after a morning walk, reviewing sleep quality from the previous night, and then relying on the watch for discreet call and text notifications during work hours. The app’s value is accentuated by its compatibility with older devices like the iPod Touch, extending functionality beyond the latest smartphones. However, the experience isn't seamless; some intermittent Bluetooth disconnection requires manual re-pairing, and features like a 'find my phone' function are noted to be unreliable. These are generally accepted as trade-offs given the significantly lower hardware cost. Analyzing user feedback shows consistent praise for the app's value proposition and essential reliability. One reviewer explicitly compared it favorably to a Fitbit device, highlighting its simplicity for seniors. Another detailed appreciation for the ability to answer calls and read texts, emphasizing the utility gained at a fraction of the cost of mainstream options. Criticisms are minor but specific: the inability to manually add missed steps after a device charges, occasional sync disconnections, and some interface elements feeling less polished than premium counterparts. Notably, even reviews mentioning these shortcomings often still award top ratings, framing them as acceptable compromises. Overall, the VeryFit app succeeds by setting clear expectations and competently delivering on them. It does not attempt to compete with the advanced analytics or ecosystem integration of an Apple or Garmin. Instead, it provides a stable, functional portal for a budget wearable's data, covering the health and notification basics that most users seek. For anyone unwilling to invest several hundred dollars in a smartwatch but who still desires core tracking and connectivity features, this app and its paired hardware represent a thoughtfully pragmatic choice in a crowded market.

Key Features

  • Comprehensive activity tracking syncs steps, distance, and calories from the watch, providing daily and historical overviews for fitness monitoring.
  • Detailed sleep analysis offers breakdowns of sleep stages and assigns a sleep score, with users noting its similarity to high-end brand data.
  • Call and notification management allows users to answer calls and read SMS/text alerts directly on their wrist, minimizing phone dependency.
  • Device customization includes selecting and changing watch faces and managing which phone app notifications are pushed to the wearable.
  • Broad compatibility works with iOS devices, with some users reporting successful pairing with older hardware like iPod Touch models.
  • Data persistence ensures that information recorded by the watch transfers to the app even after temporary Bluetooth disconnections.

I love the app. I just wish I could add steps. The battery was low this morning and had to walk this morning with each on charger. My steps didn’t get counted. The only thing that makes sense is the fact the people in charge are not in the government anymore so the people in power don’t need to worry about the government and they don’t Alejandro The only thing that makes sense is the fact the people in charge are not in the government anymore so the people in power don’t need to worry about the government and they don’t

For less than 10% of the cost of a watch made by You Know Who this device just about does it all. Easy to receive and make phone call and read texts without having to fumble from my phone. All sorts of handy health apps for those who are so inclined. It will not send texts but who cares since it is best to have to have a phone screen to make and edit them. About the only problem which is not a big deal is that the app to locate the phone does not work reliably but that is not a big deal to me. Unbelievable product! An absolutely solid app. Yes it discounts from the watch all the time but you can reconnect and all the watch info still transfers. The sleep scores seem very similar to the major brand guys. Certain things are mildly annoying compared to major brands but the price makes you forget about the extra work needed. You get a lot for what it is.
