I use Ventra regularly, for years now, and was surprised to see such an overall low rating for the app here. I have lived and worked in Chicago for 25 years, most of that time totally car-less. So I am depending on CTA (plus my two legs and bicycling) fairly regularly. I don’t remember when the Ventra app was created, but I find it to be super reliable and easy to use. For Metra trips, too, the suburban commuter train. If you’re considering the app, and it’s 2025, go for it. Let’s get these Ventra reviews up to five stars like they deserve.
