I Usually refuse to rate games on the App Store but since I just got this game after wanting it for a while I figure why not support a game I love onto the review!! (Warning it’s long and unprofessional) So I got this game thinking it was going to be some mysteries, cats, and hot guys. I was not disappointed but I should also mention it’s not quite the game the ads depict, the main story is a visual novel with Japanese voice over and there are some aspects in the gameplay that aren’t mentioned in the ads, it reminds me of genshin impact a little with the gambling aspects but if you’ve ever played Gacha world that’s kind of the mechanics for progressing game wise also I was a bit disappointed at first when I learned the ads may have lied about the customization of your dream guy and I may have gotten my hopes up but it makes up for it with cute cats, intriguing mystery, horror elements, and overall storyline As a summary I like this game a lot and it makes me happy but I wish the ads didn’t lie to me 10/10 game I Usually refuse to rate games on the App Store but since I just got this game after wanting it for a while I figure why not support a game I love onto the review!! the story on this game is absolutely incredible. the characters are far more 4-dimensional than you would expect - it is so much fun to see how so many large and interesting personalities interact with each other, and so impressive how convincingly it’s done!! the writers really have a strong grasp on convincing character development and weaving lore into the story without completely slamming you with exposition. the mysteries in each chapter are also incredibly well done - even a storyline that seems contrived on the outside is flipped on its head and made original and fresh in this game. I really cannot emphasize enough how much I love it!! the gameplay itself can be tedious, and it requires a lot of work to be able to unlock each chapter of the story, but figuring out all the nuances to building your power is super fun. expect it to get harder the higher up you go, but you can always get a fresh start on the new servers that open up with each new chapter. I really love this game and hope more people can discover it! Despite the adds the game is really fun with engaging stories and characters. Overall I love the main storylines and the characters are fun. Give the game a chance don’t mind the adds. This game is wonderful! I truly love the art, ALMOST all the writing, the community aspects of the game, the minigames, and the amazing soundtrack (seriously the music gives me chills sometimes). However, I have one major complaint about this game: our playable character. Though many other well-written characters in the game undergo serious character development, our MC never changes. We are always forced to play a passive role despite our character’s great potential to help others with her powerful special ability, a little critical thinking, and some drive to overcome her insecurities (which she herself names after every negative situation yet still no sign of her attempting to change). After being subjected to unfair situations, her life being literally uprooted, needless disrespect (I would slap Leo if I could 😐), facing dangerous monsters, and being backed into a corner many times, our MC somehow manages to still be a perfect doormat for anyone to wipe their dirty shoes on. The complete lack of decisions we as players can make to see some growth is incredibly frustrating. I don’t understand how a game so good at writing characters makes its heroine so one dimensional and static. To sum up, if you are looking for a game with a main character who grows with the story, a main character who is smart/witty and actively tries to better her situation, or a main character who stands up against unfairness, you’re looking at the wrong game. If you don’t mind playing a depth-less, potential-wasting character, then this game is honestly great! That’s why I’m still rating this game 5 stars: it’s such a beautiful story but suffers greatly from this one horrible aspect.
