I amended this review up one star based on the developer response to my original review. At I’m very surprised at how many poor reviews there are. I’ve had my camera set up in the woods at my cabin for four years now. Aside from the occasional foliage that grows up in front (my fault ;o) ) and triggers the camera over and over in the wind… the system actually works rather well. I do pay for the HD pics (worth every penny for that nice buck) and for the 250 pics/mo as I get a lot of critters up there and 100 was not nearly enough for hunting season. The standard pic quality is pretty good and requesting a copy of a pic in HD is just one simple click. Overall pretty good. Very easy to use. Set up very easy and walks you through everything clearly. Best part is you don’t have to do the cellular plan with SPYPOINT. Easy to use Very easy to use. Solar Link Micro S LTE. Both Verizon and ATT I have never written a review in my life, but feel compelled to do so over these extraordinary cameras. I have over 60 of these cameras running and they’ve been doing so for over three years. I find it amazing that I could take a solar powered camera with a lithium battery and place it without having to return to it for years. These cameras require you to update the programming when you get them. If you failed to update the programming, they tend to be buggy. I was so impressed with these cameras that I bought up all of the remaining discontinued models before Spypoint updated with the newer models. I still have about 30 cameras to put out over three properties. Only one lithium battery was defective in the whole batch of nearly 100. Occasionally, they will shut off and I think this is due to cell coverage, sometimes dropping out and the camera not restarting. I’ve been able to fix this by forcing a picture at the next sync. I use the insider club and I am able to obtain 250 pictures per camera per month all for $100 total. It comes out to about a dollar a camera per year. The ideal is to have the camera facing South to keep the battery fully charged and obviously choose a location that doesn’t have a bunch of branches or grass waving in the wind. Even with that, I keep the camera sensitivity on low and adjust the number of pictures to be taken to use up all 250 shots. Start with a picture every 30 minutes. The only gripe I have is the website doesn’t allow a button to add my filters to 100 cameras, and the website often drops this setting. After spending thousands on AA batteries and SD card retrievals, these are simply fantastic to adjust settings from my phone and not have to revisit the locations Thank You Over 60 running Solar Link Micro S LTE. I have had 2 Flex M cameras now for a couple years now. I have read the review issues. 1- camera taking pics of nothing, if you set up to avoid branches, weeds ect. And set to lowest setting, all will be good. 2- problem with app, I think it's a problem with the operator. It will take at least 1 year of playing with the settings to get it right, I run Lithium batteries , after 2 years , still got 67%, on for 2 months then put away till next year. Great pics and great camera, just play with it. Good camera, IF. I have had 2 Flex M cameras now for a couple years now.
