I’m a retiree on a state health plan that includes a prescription deductible. I have meds that will be $20 one month for a 90-day supply, and over $1000 the next refill (which drops to $105 if I use just my health plan) I use my smartphone to check prescription prices via SingleCare, Optum and GoodRx. Usually, SingleCare is the Lower price. I show my screen to the pharmacist, and they almost always accepted it, until recently, when the druggist put the SC info into his computer and came up with a price over 10-times my smartphone price.
