I signed up for Ro Body and so far the service is 100 percent as advertised. With help of provider, I selected Wegovy auto pen due to cost and convenience. After a blood test which is included in the Ro subscription price, I received my Wegovy in the mail within two days direct from the manufacturer. I personally think Ro is pretty good value bc it removes a lot of friction. I looked into getting medication through a primary care doctor but it cost $150 for an office visit and would have had to pay for the labs. Then at least for the first few months, you have to go back to the primary care doctor to get your script re newed . So doing it that way is kinda annoying (need to have a lot of extra time on your hands) and still costs several hundred dollars on a high deductible plan. Furthermore, since Ro is working directly with both Lilly and Novo, you can get the medication sent direct and is always in supply. For me, the customer service has been fine. It seems like it’s pretty much text message based but I’ve gotten all my responses within 24 hours. I would definitely recommend Ro bc the other potentially cheaper routes are just way less convenient. I didn’t do Hims bc they didn’t have a deal with Lilly like Ro and the compounding stuff sketches me out. I was using a compounded topical hair medication and FDA issued a warning on it right after I started using it. I personally wouldn’t feel comfortable injecting a knock off drug vs using a brand with a ton of clinical testing. I am grateful to Registered Nurse Karly Brown and Nurse Practitioner Katie Hamilton. They genuinely care for patients like me. After feeling embarrassed about my weight and pride, I recorded the wrong weight in the app because I was waiting for a scale from Amazon that had been delivered to the incorrect address. I had to wait a few days for them to send me a new one. At that point, I had already received the medication and figured I should start trying it right away. And that the scale would come that day. It didn’t; getting here took longer than it should’ve been. I was then confronted by a nurse whose name will not be mentioned. She canceled my order without telling me she did so. After the unnamed fact, she mentioned it in a message. She told me that she had to have a physician look at my weigh-ins and that I should stay on the 2.5 mg dose of the Eli Lilly branded Vials instead of moving up to the 5 mg, which had already been approved by a doctor and was in processing in the pharmacy at the time she canceled my order and refunded me. She sent me a message after the fact that a physician would have to look over the information because I had lost more weight than I was supposed to on the 2.5 mg dosage. I was left in the queue/limbo, needing my next shipment of medication, whether it was the 2.5 mg, which is only supposed to be used for titrating up, or the 5 mg, the next step up, as I had plateaued at the 2.5 mg dosage, and I I was left in limbo without responses the original nurse. However, Karly reached out to me, acknowledged my concerns, and made me feel valued and appreciated as a patient. She escalated my necessity for a healthcare prescriber to take a look at the screenshots that came from my app about my overall health and sent photos of my stomach and my overall obesity, which my husband took pictures of me, which was pretty embarrassing, The angel and amazing Karly Brown, RN immediately contacted me! She said that I shouldn’t be punished for a mistake. I made and apologized for it, and I know that everyone makes mistakes. She said she “appreciated me!”. I couldn’t believe it because I wasn’t feeling like I was at that point. That was until she got involved. Karly said it was unfair that I was ignored as a patient because I made a mistake! The care team laughed because I knew I would be helped by someone who cared and wasn’t punishing me for making a mistake or ignoring me. The care team for my mistake shouldn’t forget me, and she was going to take care of helping me right away. Most importantly, the first words she said to me were,” Lisa, I appreciate you!” She said that she would help me get in touch with a prescriber of my medication as soon as possible. Shortly afterward, not long after Karly found the nurse practitioner, Katie Hamilton, she looked over the documents I had sent. She could see that I had no adverse side effects, took ownership of my mistakes, and did not do proper ways to wait for my scale to come from Amazon. I was too embarrassed to tell the original nurse that, and Katie Hamilton, NP, wrote my prescription for 5 mg of the branded vials and sent it to the pharmacy to get filled and shipped out to me within 2 to 5 or 1 to 4 business days depending if it weren’t for these two fantastic kinds and beautiful-hearted healthcare practitioners. I don’t know what I would’ve done. My course of treatment would have been upset. I would’ve had to find another company to work with, which I didn’t want to do because I liked the speed and accuracy at which Ro’s healthcare team showed me when I first signed up and the speed and accuracy with which the pharmacy prepared the correct medication for me and sent it to me very very quickly. And their customer service within the care team was excellent at the beginning. That was until a specific RN got involved. Because of my dishonesty with her, as Ias she came off as very judgmental and waited a week to respond to me from the last question I sent her, it made me feel like I had to lie and tell her that my way and original weight was different than it was at the time of the second injection, ruined and stopped my ability to get my remedy. Either the 2.5 mg dose of Eli Lilly branded vials, or the 5 mg vials was suitable until Karly Brown, RN, and Katie Hamilton, NP, stepped in and treated me like someone who doesn’t get forgotten and is worth caring for as a patient, even though they made a mistake and took full ownership of it, Thanks to both Karly and Katie working together, I felt cared for and appreciated. Their support significantly impacted my experience with Ro, and I’m grateful for their understanding and kindness. They genuinely show and are exemplary, compassionate healthcare. Ro should be giving their patience, even if they made a mistake. No one‘s perfect. These two healthcare practitioners should be cloned. They’re so kind and caring and thoughtful and take immediate care of patients that have been neglected, so I am sending this out for everyone to read because I want everyone to know Karly Brown, RN, and Katie Hamilton, NP, and how they changed my whole perception of Ro back to a good one. I’m grateful for their kind, caring, and quick approach that did not harm me. They used detailed information, such as photos of my body, and allowed me to take snapshots of my skill and the app's output. It is connected to show them all of my levels, being healthy! When I felt the lowest, these two amazing angels came my way, helped me, and said they appreciated me. I couldn’t believe it! Ro should keep hiring people like Karly Brown, RN, and Katie Hamilton, NP! They just helped and cared for me like any other patient. They treated me like a human being, not a pest. I would also like to thank the pharmacy team for working their behinds off to ensure patients get their orders on time—it's crucial! And working with insurance companies to obtain prior authorization for these excellent, life-changing medication! Karly Brown, RN, & Katie Hamilton, NP, showed care, respect & helped me. Gentlemen, I can tell you this. I have tried it all and RO Sparks are absolutely the best hands-down. They are fast acting and long lasting. The support team was absolutely amazing. I never added bonus. I got laid off for my job and had to cancel my subscription. For a short period of time and they or absolutely understanding and supportive. They responded to me like compassionate humans. I am a loyal customer. RO Sparks experience Gentlemen, I can tell you this. I have tried it all and RO Sparks are absolutely the best hands-down. Just a simple bug— the app is literally not centered so it’s hard to read half of what’s on the screen. I’ve tried to update it with no fix.
