I have been a certified Storm Spotter for 10 yrs but I had to move from where I had lived 13 yrs and no longer have the wonderful visual I had at my other home. Since I can’t even see outside, I now watch the weather on LIVE Channel 5 and the “other” LIVE TX Storm Chasers App for their radar. Yes, there IS another LIVE weather reporter in TX. Between the two options I can still know what is happening all the time. Channel 5 has the best reporting and predictions! Keep up the great work. Cant say enough about Rick Mitchell and his crew. So many times we rely on his accurate and helpful information and so calming in bad storms. Have been watching NBC DFW for decades and he is the best weatherman in town. Even with the crazy changes second by second he is top of it. So many times he saved us from some scary close calls being out or about in it. A true Godsend to DFW The best local weather in DFW Cant say enough about Rick Mitchell and his crew. Kevan and Vince did a superb job tonight. I have been watching 5 since the days of Harold Taft, and he established a standard of excellence among weather reporters when he hired David Finfrock. Years later, David hired Rick Mitchell, another true professional, and now he has added Kevan to the stable of excellence. Other stations have attempted to get on top of the weather watching viewers, but this team cannot be beat. Congratulations to the entire weather reporting team. Collectively, they are the greatest! I don’t even live in Dallas - I’m near Austin- but this App is so great about current weather alerts and notifications!! It’s more accurate than any of the Austin-based apps I’ve tried. I appreciate the news alerts from local, state, and national thanks to this one. It’s been over 30 years since I lived in Dallas, so hearing about news stories there is nice, too.
