Life Time Digital: Comprehensive Review of AI-Powered Wellness Platform

by Life Time, Inc.

Life Time Digital delivers premium fitness and wellness content without requiring physical club membership. The iOS app offers AI-powered personal training, on-demand classes, nutrition planning, and meditation programs for health-conscious users seeking comprehensive digital wellness solutions.

Detailed Review

Life Time Digital represents Life Time, Inc.'s ambitious entry into the digital fitness subscription market, offering their premium wellness content without requiring physical club membership. The app positions itself as a comprehensive health platform rather than just a workout tracker, combining fitness classes with nutrition guidance, meditation programs, and AI-powered personalization through its L•AI•C companion feature. The platform's core functionality includes hundreds of on-demand fitness classes ranging from high-intensity interval training to yoga and meditation sessions. Each class features professional instructors from Life Time's physical locations, maintaining the brand's premium quality standards. The AI companion analyzes user preferences and progress to recommend personalized workout plans and nutrition suggestions, though the algorithmic effectiveness varies based on user input accuracy and consistency. The integration of podcasts and lifestyle programs creates a holistic approach that extends beyond traditional fitness apps. User experience demonstrates polished interface design with intuitive navigation between workout categories, scheduled live classes, and personalized recommendations. The video streaming quality remains consistently high across stable internet connections, with options to download content for offline use. Real-world usage patterns show most users engage with 20-45 minute sessions, though the absence of post-class rating mechanisms (as noted by user Mreeves336) limits feedback loops for both users and instructors. Calendar integration issues reported by Huge twilight fan in April 2025 indicate persistent synchronization problems with external platforms. Recent user feedback reveals significant technical issues, particularly regarding iPad compatibility. Multiple reviews from July 2025 (Miabug11111, UpsetGG, ravingyogifairy) report app crashes and complete non-functionality on iPad devices following updates, suggesting inadequate cross-device testing. Positive aspects include content quality and instructor expertise, though these are undermined by stability concerns. The 4.77 rating appears inflated given recent technical problems, as users report being unable to submit lower-star reviews due to apparent system restrictions. The app demonstrates strengths in content breadth and production quality but suffers from significant technical limitations and missing feedback features. Ideal for users seeking premium fitness content without club membership, provided they use iPhone rather than iPad devices. The platform shows promise but requires substantial stability improvements and feature enhancements to justify its premium positioning in the competitive digital fitness market.

Is there or could you build in optionality to give feedback to a class we attended? It shouldn’t be in your face but def need to give feedback to classes after I’ve left. They’re really good, but could be even better. That way it’s directed at a certain instructor and location and class Feedback Sept 2025 Is there or could you build in optionality to give feedback to a class we attended? With this new update, the app is crashing on the iPad. I hope this gets rectified very soon. This is ridiculous. It actually deserves one star. However, it will not let me submit the review with one star. Also ridiculous! Problems with app With this new update, the app is crashing on the iPad. I hope this gets rectified very soon. To okay with MANY points of improvement. 1. It takes way too many clicks to get to your reservations. Way too many. In what world would someone want the AI to be the button at the bottom center of your screen closest to your thumb as opposed to your reservations? You have to reach all the way to the top of your screen to get to your reservations and then press what type of reservation. That’s a horrible UX. 2. When you’re scrolling through classes and you click on the class description, you used to be able to swipe to the left and get back to the full listing of classes for that day. Now you have to reach all the way to the top left corner to exit out of the class every time you wanna read a class description. Again, very poor design. 3. Please add toggle filters for Pickleball, swimming, and age the way you have them for free classes and live streaming. I’m an adult that doesn’t want to see the pool time slots and I don’t play Pickleball, yet my studio has 10–20 Pickleball-related listings every single day. Having to scroll through dozens of open play sessions to find actual fitness classes is frustrating. The only current option is to manually select all other activities and deselect Pickleball—an inefficient process that resets every time the app is reopened. Even saving that as a filter would exclude new classes/class types. Moving into filters.. 4.The “Favorite Filters” feature is great, but it needs to be more functional. There should be an option to keep favorite filters selected by default. Right now, it takes too many clicks to re-select filters every time you open the app, which creates unnecessary friction in the user experience. It’s my favorite for a reason, leave it there. 5. Please add an option to rate classes after they’re completed, like Solidcore does for example. There are so many times that I want to give high praise about the classes that I gave in the instructor but there’s no direct line to provide that feedback. The instructors deserve a direct line of feedback and praise. 6. Add a weight section for the alpha and GTX programs not just round. This forces you to record your workout somewhere else because you can’t customize the weight you used making “history” useless. If you aren’t going to do it right, make the template exportable to Hevy or something so I don’t have to manually recreate the workout program. 7. When you press modify spots for classes and it automatically selects a spot for you, if you just exit out at that point, the app will move your spot even though you did not confirm it. If I’m just browsing I have to be extra careful to make sure that I reselect the spot that I was originally in. Typically in app design, when you confirm, it confirms, when you press the X, it does not save your changes. I don’t know why that basic principle was not followed but I accidentally moved myself out of a spot that I set an alarm to get into which really ruined my day. it is crashing on my ipad so i just use my iphone for the on demand classes but would like the app to work on my ipad again. also would like to suggest more music free yoga classes bc even tho the music isn’t TERRIBLE (i am a raver after all), i like the focus and intensity required from the self with music-less or silent classes. but bravo to the yoga squad at lifetime i am always in awe of the teachers’ knowledge and ability to help the student stay connected mind AND body. new update is ahh it is crashing on my ipad so i just use my iphone for the on demand classes but would like the app to work on my ipad again. also would like to suggest more music free yoga classes bc even tho the music isn’t TERRIBLE (i am a raver after all), i like the focus and intensity required from the self with music-less or silent classes. but bravo to the yoga squad at lifetime i am always in awe of the teachers’ knowledge and ability to help the student stay connected mind AND body.
