Boutiquehotel The Church is a must stay in Arnhem. It is so unique and just beautiful. The room was very cozy and the bed was comfortable. We loved the old feel and the architecture of the building. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Americans need to relax a bit more about the open shower/toilet layout. While I would not find it convenient for a family or friends staying, it is perfect for couples. We will definitely stay again if we are back in Arnhem. Perfect!! We didn’t have to pay for the outrageous parking so the stay was great and so was the fee for the amount hotels can go in that area. Store was right across the street with a Starbucks as well. I gave it 5 stars so that hopefully people will see it. The true rating is less than 0. It would be a -5 stars if that were possible. I never write reviews, but my experience with Hotels.com has been utterly infuriating. I booked a room, only to find out at check-in that there was a deposit required—something I was never told about when booking. This is not just inconvenient; it’s deceptive. Things quickly went from bad to worse. When I pulled into the hotel parking lot, something popped two of my tires, leaving me stranded and stuck in my car. You would think that a company that handles bookings would at least try to help in an emergency. Not Hotels.com. I called customer service, and all I got were empty promises. The agents refused to provide any immediate assistance and insisted that I “wait for a specialist to call me back.” Hours later? Still nothing. No solutions. No accountability. Just a company that hides behind automated scripts and makes excuses while their customers suffer. Hotels.com doesn’t just fail at customer service—they actively make problems worse. If you value honesty, efficiency, or actually getting help when things go wrong, avoid this company at all costs.
