My Full Experience
I’ve been using GPS Emulator & Tracker for a few weeks now, mostly to test an app I’m working on that uses geofencing. Setting up a custom route is simple: just drop pins on the map, adjust speed and intervals, and hit start. The simulation runs smoothly, and I appreciate that it supports both driving and walking modes—it feels more realistic than some other tools I’ve tried.
For everyday use, the tracking feature is handy too. I used it during a hiking trip last weekend, and it logged my path accurately, even in areas with spotty service. The ability to export routes as GPX files is a nice touch if you want to review your data elsewhere.
It’s not without its quirks, though. Occasionally, the app takes a moment to lock onto a location when starting a new simulation, and I wish there were more customization options for altitude simulation. But for the price (it’s free with a pro upgrade), it does what it says on the tin. If you’re a developer, tester, or outdoor enthusiast who needs reliable location simulation or tracking, give this one a shot.
Perfect for: Perfect for app developers, QA testers, and outdoor adventurers who need location simulation or logging.
