Google Voice: Free Phone Number

I have been using Google voice for over 4 years now and I highly recommend it, especially using it as a second number. I use it to make international calls the only concern is that you can not use it to text international numbers but over all it’s highly effective. It would be nice if when all notifications are cleared on one device, that clearance could be pushed to all other devices. Such an inconvenience to have to open/close the app on every device all the time. A native MacOS version would be nice. Not sure why you can't get the committee to approve, but can guess (lol). Too bad y'all been stymied by committee, for almost 20 years, from turning this into the greatest messaging app of all time - had the opportunity to throw WhatsApp and iMessage into the dirt 15 years ago, I guess the opportunity passed. Hope Voice isn't tosssed in the same trashbin as all the other Google messaging apps except this one, but it wouldn't surprise me. I went through a spell where I didn’t get much use of GV for years. When I worked in secondary education, I resurrected it to contact families. When my son needed a way to contact me on his tablet, I installed this app and pre authorized certain contacts. Never had a problem with hackers or spammers. Never had a technical issue.
