eufy: Smart Home Control

Seriously, the simplest and easiest security camera installation I’ve ever done (and I’ve put in a dozen of these things for various friends and family.) Of note: I was concerned that I’d need to have two apps, one for Eufy clean for my robot vacuums and one for cameras and security. This app does BOTH, so you can delete the Eufy clean app. My only complaint is that they advertise within the app. I can live with that. Wow. WOW! The app is good. Home management is simple enough and the cameras and locks are responsive (though require a threads enabled router to connect to HomeKit). The only real downside is that this app is just filled to the rim with ads. They’re ads for Eufy products, so it’s not invasive advertising, but still, the banner on why homepage should be able to be dismissed. I appreciate being able to self host recordings at home, which removed the fear of devices stopping working when some service gets ended. I just wish I didn’t have to constantly see an ad for it. If the app offered a live view on the home tab that allowed all cameras to show live view simultaneously, it would take my rating from a 4 to a 5. This feature would significantly improve user experience and make monitoring much more efficient. Overall I do like the cameras and functionality of app. Great cameras and App!
