I appreciate the reviews and improvement suggestions for the app. However, as someone who was diagnosed with diabetes within the last 6 months and who has only been on a cgm for 3 weeks, I’m gearing my comments towards those who are trying to decide whether they can afford the sensors even with insurance. It caught my 2 dangerously high readings after eating meals I knew weren’t great but had convinced myself were okay. This last week, it caught multiple dangerously low readings both every night and every day. Those seem to be due to interactions between 2 drugs that don’t usually cause problems together. If I had been using a finger stick, I don’t think I would have been aware there was a very serious problem. In fact, my levels might have looked great at the time I tested. So, yes, I would say the sensors and app are necessary for true diabetes management and safety-at least at first. So back then I was just a normal child but then me and my mom noticed that I had randomly started to wet the bed. It had happened for like a month so my mom called a doctor and they said that I had type 1 diabetes. So we went to a place(kinda like a doctor idk)and they had to give me shots which I HAAAAAATTTEEEEDDDDDDDDD. Bu then after I got to eat french toast:). But besides that this app is a true life saver.(not the gummy little ring candy things lol). It’s an awesome app, there’s just one thing that would help. That would be the ability to integrate with Apple health. G6 has the capability.
