This is an essential tool for German. I subscribe to pro to use the ‘informal’ tone. The website version is perfect, the app is almost ad good. I love that the app recently updated to allow substitutions by clicking on a word and choosing a different translation… for this I give it 5 stars be instead of 4! Very useful and nuanced, allows you to edit word by word which is great. Very good at creating natural sounding sentences. The camera is alright but does not always work well when working with multiple blocks of text on a page. They tend to overlap each other in the translation. One feature I would like is sending screenshot to DeepL from the share menu. Currently when attempting to do so, the applet opens the default text translation. This app is better then google translate this app ever since I found it I see the difference between google translate and this one this one is better translate and really understand what the customer is saying Delete google translate and use this it’s worth it.
