Clipboard connects healthcare professionals with immediate shift opportunities through an iOS platform. The app enables flexible scheduling and instant payment processing, targeting nurses and nursing assistants seeking work-life balance.

Detailed Review

Clipboard represents a specialized workforce management platform designed specifically for healthcare professionals seeking flexible shift opportunities. The iOS application serves as a bridge between healthcare facilities and qualified medical staff, focusing primarily on nursing roles including LVNs, RNs, and nursing assistants. Its market position centers on addressing staffing shortages while providing medical professionals greater control over their schedules. The application's core functionality revolves around three primary features: rapid onboarding enabling immediate shift availability, InstantPay technology facilitating same-day compensation, and comprehensive shift management tools. Users can browse available shifts categorized by AM, PM, and NOC (night) periods, with additional custom shift options. The platform maintains verification systems to ensure credential compliance while providing transparent shift details including facility information, required qualifications, and compensation rates before booking. User experience demonstrates a straightforward interface with emphasis on practical functionality rather than elaborate design elements. The booking process follows a linear workflow from shift discovery to confirmation, with integrated calendar synchronization and notification systems. Real-world usage patterns indicate healthcare professionals primarily access the application during off-hours to manage upcoming schedules, with peak activity occurring during early mornings and evenings when planning next-day shifts. User feedback trends consistently highlight positive experiences with facility staff and work environments, though technical issues occasionally surface. Reviewer Gee$$$L (August 3, 2025) noted 'wonderful facility' and adequate resource availability, while JocelynRoz (July 23, 2025) reported technical difficulties with application loading screens. Multiple reviews including Tionaw (July 22, 2025) and YHWH937 (July 22, 2025) consistently praise supportive work environments and team dynamics at assigned facilities. The application demonstrates significant strengths in payment processing speed and scheduling flexibility, though occasional technical reliability concerns merit consideration. Ideal use cases involve healthcare professionals seeking supplemental income streams or those transitioning between permanent positions. The platform particularly benefits medical staff requiring non-traditional schedules or those preferring project-based work arrangements over traditional employment structures.

Key Features

  • InstantPay system processes payments immediately after shift completion, eliminating traditional payroll delays for healthcare workers

  • Real-time shift availability updates with push notifications ensure users access the most current opportunities
  • Facility rating and review system provides transparent insights into work environments before shift acceptance

The app is simple enough to use. There are pros and cons, in my opinion the cons outweigh the pros and to make matters worst they lowered the referral pay from 1,000 to 500. It’s true Facilities can cancel prior to 4 hours before the shift without penalty. However if you cancel within 3 days 90 points will be deducted. 40 points 4 days or later. 25 points for being 15 minutes lates. You get 1 courtesy reinstatement after an account restriction. Use it wisely. You’re allowed 3 restrictions. The first 2 are 7 days and 3rd is 365 days. No Shows are automatic Account Restriction. If the system detects that you will be an hour late for a shift it will re-list your shift. If your shift is rebooked, YOU ARE STILL REQUIRED TO SHOW UP TO CLAIM YOUR SHIFT. Do not stay longer than your assigned shift. After 2 hours, you will be automatically signed out of the app so that the system cannot track your hours. Facilities are supposed to send you an additional shift invite for the extra hours. If you get report and decide not to accept the shift, Clipboard will still PREFER you complete the shift whether it’s safe or not. If you insist to protect your license, speak with the scheduler to cancel the shift. They will need to rebook. You can notify the DON, but the scheduler books the shifts. Depending on what your state pays, the abuse and exploitation this app and the facilities inflict on you is worth it. I made over $1700 working the 3 day 4th of July weekend as a LPN in MA. You can report facilities with Clipboard on their website, however, I don’t think they actually take those seriously. You have the option to rate facilities but what YOU don’t know is that the facilities can rate you as a worker. You can request shifts from a specific provider anytime. Contact the scheduler via chat and request. They can send a shift invite. Don’t be afraid to negotiate pay rate. Remember, these shifts are supposed to pay higher than staff because YOU DON’T GET BENEFITS. A benefit package is a form of payment. That’s all for now. Trust, there’s more.
