ChargePoint: EV Charging

The ChargePoint app has been a true blessing in my journey toward responsible and sustainable living. As a Christian striving to be a good steward of God’s creation, I deeply appreciate how this app supports my efforts to care for the environment through electric vehicle use. From the moment I started using it, the ChargePoint app has proven to be dependable, user-friendly, and incredibly helpful. Finding charging stations, checking availability, and managing my charging sessions is seamless—reminding me that God often provides practical tools to help us walk out our values in everyday life. I see the use of this technology not just as a convenience, but as part of a greater calling—to live intentionally and care for the earth that the Lord has made. Genesis reminds us that we are entrusted with the care of creation, and this app makes it easier for me to do just that with grace and confidence. The app’s features work with excellence and purpose, and I find that kind of diligence reflects the biblical principle of doing all things as unto the Lord (Colossians 3:23). It’s refreshing to use a tool that not only functions well but aligns with a lifestyle of responsibility, integrity, and care for others and the world around us. Updated review: called customer service and they were excellent. Pushed an update to the charger. Now can control amperage. My only tiny gripe would be no ability to perform the update / requires contacting ChargePoint. Previous review: Using the home flex charger, it is nothing like its name. Completely inflexible. Cannot dial down the amperage via the app to meet home solar output, or to slow down charging. This should be called home in flexible. We just got a used plug-in but I can’t add it to the settings for my account. And when a charging station is not working, there isn’t a way to report it to ChargePoint. Been using the app for a couple of years since we bought our first EV and had our first ChargePoint home charger installed in the garage. It always controlled that charger fine. Then we bought a second EV and a second ChargePoint home charger for the garage. Then we got a vacation home in another state and have an EV there with a third ChargePoint charger in that garage. Unfortunately, the app only controls one ChargePoint home charger. If you have more than one, then you have to uninstall each one before installing the next and so on. The app should allow users to control multiple home chargers through simple drop down menus by now. Doesn’t the developer want to encourage users to buy multiple home charger hardware?
