Downloading this app and using it correctly has absolutely helped my weight loss and fitness journey. Initially I wanted to get this app because I liked the idea of an app where you take photos and know the calories if you go out for food and to get away from the laggy buggy mess that is MyFitnessPal. Turns out I barely use the AI component but the food tracking itself is just way easier than MyFitnessPals outdated UX. I just have a bunch of items saved and I mostly scan bar labels for new things. Occasionally I’ll use the AI but that is no longer the selling point for me. It’s really that it’s just a way easier app to use than MyFitnessPal and doesn’t take 20 seconds to load each page. I just hope the team keeps it simple and snappy because that’s all I care about with these types of apps. Thanks CalAI team. I love this app. So far I am down 8 pounds utilizing barcodes and a scale, however it would be nice to upload a meal and have the app convert it to grams instead of servings. It would save me more time instead of doing the conversions myself. Other than that 10/10 would recommend. I have tried other apps to track what I’m eating and I can’t express how much I love this app. Just take photos of your plate..It is 95% spot on. The only thing it misses is what it can’t see.. you tell it in what it misses and it adjusts. “I had some vinaigrette on the salad” or “change to almond milk” and it fixes it .. so easy!! I really believe this will help me with my goals .. another plus is that the pictures did it go to your camera roll!
