Babbel: Language Learning

I switched from another online learning source to Babbel. The interactive model is better imo, as it’s not simply memorization of words and it also explains word use/scenarios. While I’m personally having a difficult time grasping everything there is to know about the language I’m learning(I don’t pick things up as quickly as most people), I think this app is a great tool to learn a language. It’s intuitive and the lessons are very well thought out and thorough. It makes it feel simple. I had originally tried Duolingo and didn’t like the way the lessons were structured more towards children. Babbel is definitely geared more towards an adult audience and I like that about it. It’s a fantastic app to start learning new languages and/or relearn a language. Just one pet peeve of mine is that it has a small selection of languages to learn. For instance, I’m basically a black sheep in my family for not speaking my native language, and it’s been like that for my entire life. I’m a filipino, so I feel a bit lost or clueless when I’m surrounded by people of my nationality, and if you’ve ever met one, you’d know they don’t like to get left out.
