I have pretty much been a full-time traveler since the pandemic in 2020 and have used Atlas Obscura countless times to find really unique, off the beaten track places to explore. Whenever I’m in a new city, I open AO and center my sightseeing around AO entries. Invariably I also come across the major tourist sites as well, and take those in frequently. But this way, I see all the quirky things a city has to offer and my walks to those places also take me off the beaten track, allowing me to discover local culture that much more.
