Finding out things that could impact your is worth finding out Norris Pruett Finding out things that could impact your is worth finding out
I am adopted and decided to try and find my bio fam in the state of Maine. The woman at the state suggested I try social media and ancestry. My mother is the only one listed on my birth certificate so I really wasn’t thinking about my Dad when I started searching but sure enough I found him and a ton of wonderful family just two hours north of me. It’s been an amazing experience. Try Ancestry. It just works! Found them! I am adopted and decided to try and find my bio fam in the state of Maine. For years there was a tale about five brothers that came under British General Cornwallis in the American Revolutionary War, but I just couldn’t verify this information l. I got the first name and looked at several lines of my surname. I discovered the story of Sir Thomas Lunsford, that was a guard of King Charles I, which lost his head for real during the Cornell revolution in England. I found he left immediately after the King’s execution. He sailed with 70 people to an area west of Williamsburg, Virginia. He had one young boy with him that was a bastard son as best we can find. This boy was his son that had his last name but couldn’t hold a title of Sir like his biological father. William carried our name into North Carolina. This was in 1648 when he came with his true dad Sir Thomas Lunsford. Finding our own roots!
