Waymo One: Autonomous Rides

My preferred taxi service in Phoenix! The vehicles are clean and fun; the ride felt safe and lavish. No driver to judge my conversation or destination. One ride my Waymo saved us from a cement truck that would have hit me. Thank you for having this tech!! A human driver would not have avoided the crash. The Waymo already knew the spacing of all vehicles and moved us to safety! Thank you!♡ More drop-off and pickup locations needed. This limits the use for apartment complexes and office spaces.

I deleted all my other ride share apps. I use it when going out & driving afterwards is not recommended. If there's a bar, event, or party outside the boundaries of Waymo, it's not worth going. I'm not sure how many rides I've gone on but I've used it for a year or 2. I just wish it would drop me off in front of a hotel in DT Phoenix instead of dropping me off half a mile away. There's a fine line between nice & ghetto around there. I'm always on the wrong side.

It was my first ride. It went smoothly! I did watch the videos first. The pickup across the street was close enough. The drop-off was perfect. The unlock button doesn't show on the screen until the car is Bluetooth close. I'll be riding again for certain!

Downloaded app and was in the car in less than 8 minutes. Ride from the airport to my house was 28 minutes and it performed flawlessly. this technology is amazing and definitely the future. it was only $18 versus $27 for Uber.

Absolutely amazing. Quiet cars are the future. We hate loud cars so this is progress. Thanks for making this happen!!!!
