The Atlantic: News

It seems just as I'm thinking about an issue, something that has come up in my personal sphere, I'll see an article in "The Atlantic" covering it. It's uncanny, almost spooky. The research and writing are excellent and I'm continually opened to new perspectives from "The Atlantic's" articles. It's one of the few subscriptions I'm keeping just now.

The Atlantic has such good articles! Of the 4-5 publications I subscribe to, this is the one I read the most. But what I really enjoy is, if I stop reading an article, and go back to it later, the app remembers where I stopped and scrolls forward so I can pick up where I left off! I love it!

The Atlantic App for Android is well organized from the main menu on the App homepage. I was disappointed that I was unable to begin a free 30 day trial that requires purchase of either of just 2 subscription purchase options; Digital or Premium. The Atlantic's additional subscription options aren't accessible on this page. Instead I got a 2 wk trial & will cancel before it expires and then purchase the Academic Digital subscription for $44.99 for 1 year.

Excellent in-depth articles. Most of the time this app "remembers" (even across two days) what article I was reading as well as where within it, which is a rarity with Today's apps. However, within the same day, when I re-focus on this app, it displays a blank screen, and I must look for the article, if I can remember what that article was titled.

The Atlantic is where I go for the deep read. The articles give you details behind the what, where, who, and when of major cultural ideas and stories.
