There's a ton of apps that claim they are free texting and calling over Wi-Fi, and I've tried most of them. This "Text Fee: Calling and Texting" app has no gimmicks, and is actually free. As long as you have an internet connection of some sort, you can make all the calls and send all the texts that you want to for free. There's no trial periods and you don't need any sort of payment method to start and use your account. Highly, highly recommended!!

This app is great to use as a second number and to text people without having to show my original cell phone number to those who I might not want it exposed to. many times when a number is given online, somehow multiple people to whom I've had no affiliation with start calling calling and calling.
