Substack: Independent News

Once I discovered some of my favorite YouTube people (mostly political news and analysis) were FREE on substack I have started using this app. Still a newbie but starting to like it!

I find this app to be a breath of fresh air amongst social platforms today. The people on here express themselves in a less palatable way than the fast-paced algorithmic feeds that most social media apps give you, and that kind of vibe feeds the brain. I mean, when's the last time you read an essay other than for educational purposes? I feel like I actually learn new things while on here, about other people, through other people, and about me. Just great!

If you want unfiltered reporting based on facts, come to Substack. Many independent professional journalists from around the world have found a home and safe haven here with familiar names. It's great to have a source for national and international reporting that you will not find in the US.

This is a wonderful app and community! It is very well laid out and easy to use. The people are super friendly and you don't have to deal with the trash. I use it to write about birds. My Substack is called: The Birder's Way. I definitely recommend it!

Substack is changing the game, and giving a voice to folks who may find themselves buried in the algorithms.
