A massively multiplayer strategy game featuring 15 historical civilizations with deep empire-building mechanics. The recent Maya expansion adds new cultural elements while maintaining the game's complex alliance warfare and persistent world systems.

Detailed Review

Rise of Kingdoms: Lost Crusade represents LilithGames' flagship mobile strategy title, positioning itself in the competitive 4X (explore, expand, exploit, exterminate) genre with its persistent world map and real-time alliance warfare systems. The game distinguishes itself through historical civilization diversity and large-scale player interactions that unfold across continuously evolving servers. The core gameplay revolves around selecting one of 15 civilizations, each offering unique commanders, architectural styles, and special units. The recent Maya civilization introduction brings new mythological elements inspired by Popul Vuh texts, featuring the Feathered Serpent deity Kukulkan and stone carving mechanics. Players progress from founding settlements to commanding vast armies, researching technologies, and engaging in territory control warfare. Real-time battles allow direct troop manipulation, while the technology tree requires strategic resource allocation decisions. The interface employs a clean isometric perspective with detailed city-building visuals and intuitive gesture controls for map navigation. Real-world usage patterns show players typically engage in short daily sessions for resource management alongside extended weekend periods for alliance coordination and territory wars. The game's persistent nature means strategic decisions have lasting consequences, creating emergent narratives through player interactions rather than scripted campaigns. User feedback reveals polarized perspectives, with positive reviews praising the expansive content. White Golden noted on July 6, 2025: 'Many huge maps to explore. Nice graphics. Lots of abilities to upgrade.' Conversely, Muhammad Iqbal's August 5, 2025 review highlights monetization concerns: 'this is p2w game and greedy developer.' Raja Kashan's August 2 feedback suggests adding geographical authenticity: 'Add castle sieges and land invasions to capture territories.' The game demonstrates strengths in content depth and social gameplay systems, though progression pacing heavily favors committed players or those utilizing microtransactions. Ideal for strategy enthusiasts seeking long-term empire management with strong alliance components, though casual players may find the time investment requirements substantial. The Maya expansion successfully adds cultural diversity but doesn't address fundamental progression concerns raised by the community.

I'm loving Rise of Kingdoms! Engaging gameplay, challenging strategy, and impressive graphics. One suggestion: One thing you must add is the earth's original map and each player has its original location on the map. Add castle sieges and land invasions to capture territories like historical dynasties. Strategizing attacks and expanding territory would add depth. Great game, looking forward to future updates!

Well, I'm playing this game for 6years, edited my experience several time ๐Ÿ˜‚, now again writing as a player's feedback, hope developers find this helpful. I think they should work on power balancing & match making for kvk. Should bring more cosmetic items for low spenders or f2ps, they shouldn't be feel neglected. Book of covenant should be more available. To upgrade a castle, I spend 65k gems, but it's nearly impossible for f2p. Materials should be available in different events to help f2p.
