onX Hunt: Hunting Maps

I use this a lot. I've used it to figure rough distances. I've also used it to find out who owns which property to be able to reach them. It's much easier then looking up county maps. Each year I download the best quality maps for each unit I'm hunting. It's night and day better then a regular GPS. on top of that I can mark way points and put notes and pictures in. I can send way points to my wife when I'm alone so she knows where to send help if she doesn't hear from me. Great app.

Works great offline as GPS for hunting/hiking, tracking and waypoints are really cool as well. Never got lost and phone battery easily lasts all day when on airplane mode while using onX. My only complaint is that the maps aren't always up to date. I have planned a route to take numerous times only to find that the road that was supposed go through dead ends and the rest of it was plowed up, blocked and/or completely overgrown so you can't even hike through, let alone drive.

Great app! Lots of information; free masterclasses on using the app, game animals, etc.; way more features that I need to dig into yet to use this app to its potential. I'm new to elk hunting (2 hunts under my belt), and for me, Elite is worth the extra money for the added features! And I'm planning for moose. 🫎 Other uses, too: camping & fishing spots, hiking & marking your current trail or planning a route, photography ops, etc. You can also get driving directions to your pins. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Absolutely on time for you're uses. Works perfectly and not only compass and gps readout but property lines and owners. ACCURATE. PRECISE. 10 STARS
