This is a great app. I really appreciate the early warning it provides. I discovered a problem with it with the quake this morning (9/12/24), though. I had Do Not Disturb set on my phone, and the alarm didn't sound. I have changed app notifications to allow this in the future, but I feel that as an emergency alert, the app should override Do Not Disturb, regardless of app settings. At the very least, the app should let the user know to adjust notifications settings at time of installation.
This is my second time giving this app a try. Setup instructions were easy to follow. I've manually entered my home base. So far, so good. Also, I like the built-in seismograph feature.
ใฝ๏ธ๐It would be really cool to see the fault lines over the reports. ๐ใฐ๏ธ ๐ค๐ป Make sure you turn off Pause app activity it removes unused permissions, deletes temporary files, and stops notifications ... you want these on all the time. This app should be a top download for earthquake prone areas. Also to add the FEMA app too, don't wait for a crisis to come to you be educated not naive. I want you here.
you may want to let Google know this, they need an override in their OS for apps like this. they have this feature if you don't use an app it turns it off. I just noticed that my app has been disabled for who knows how long. I assume that's what it is, it could be something else and optimization app perhaps.
works. today was the day of the >5.0 quake and I got the alert 3-5 seconds before the shaking started. enough time to get to a safer spot. awesome. thank you
