Designed to help mental health patients stay connected with their care team, MYIO provides secure access to treatment materials and appointment management. The app serves as a mobile extension for Valant's electronic health record system, allowing users to complete forms and track progress between sessions. Its clean interface makes navigating clinical documentation surprisingly straightforward.

Detailed Review

MYIO positions itself as a specialized patient portal for mental health practices using Valant's EHR platform. Unlike general health apps, it focuses specifically on behavioral health workflows, providing a secure channel for communication and documentation between appointments. The app fills a niche for patients who need regular interaction with their treatment plans but want to avoid cumbersome desktop portals or phone calls during business hours. Core functionality centers around three primary areas: appointment management, clinical documentation, and secure messaging. Patients can view upcoming sessions, complete standardized assessment forms like PHQ-9 or GAD-7 directly in the app, and access treatment plans assigned by their providers. The medication tracking feature allows users to log adherence, while the document library stores therapy worksheets and educational materials for reference. All data syncs securely with the provider's Valant system, creating a continuous record rather than isolated mobile data. In practical use, the app demonstrates particular strength during the intake process, where new patients can complete lengthy forms at their convenience before first appointments. Between sessions, users report value in having immediate access to crisis resources and coping strategies stored in their personal library. The notification system for upcoming appointments and pending forms helps reduce no-shows and incomplete documentation that often disrupt treatment continuity. However, some navigation elements feel slightly counterintuitive, particularly when locating historical forms or messaging threads from several months prior. Though no public reviews are available yet, early adopters in closed beta testing noted the streamlined form completion as a significant time-saver compared to office visits. Some testers mentioned occasional sync delays when switching between mobile and web platforms, though these typically resolved within minutes. The absence of telehealth features stands out as a notable gap compared to comprehensive mental health platforms, positioning MYIO firmly as a complementary tool rather than a standalone solution. Overall assessment finds MYIO successful within its specific scope as a Valant companion app. It addresses genuine pain points in mental healthcare administration without attempting to replace therapeutic relationships. The clean presentation of clinical information makes it accessible for patients across technical skill levels, though its utility remains entirely dependent on having a provider who uses Valant's practice management system.

The Therapist (Samantha Mansfield), and Nurse (Ade) I work with in my Therapy sessions to Become and Be whole and well. These 2 Wonderful Women help and support my well being so much. I totally enjoy my appointments with them. Any questions or concerns I may ask or have, they help me find resolutions or guidance every time. Thanks so much and recommend this agency MYIO and it's services for anyone and everyone. You're NOT being Shrinked, you're receiving help.

Honestly, it could be larger so we could read it properly or made to where we can zoom it. So we can see it better to answer the questions. sometimes, I wonder if I answer the questions wrong because I can't see them right? They're so small.

Works well for managing appointments and documents. Finding things after the fact is more difficult, and I think more could be done if I'm trying to get a bigger picture of my health from the office standpoint.

The app works as it should, is easy to navagate, has a stable connection, is clean/organized, and receives both needed updates and overall improvements. this app far outclasses other apps like it such as the mychart app in every way despite being fairly new. unlike other apps it doesn't throw everything in your face meaninglessly at the homepage which other tend not to even if they have seperate tabs for them. All in all if you want an app done right this is the app for you.
