My Aurora Forecast: Northern Lights

2025 now and still my favorite app. Other apps have me looking futility. A notice from this one is almost a guarantee to see an aurora. 2022:Took me a bit to find the great instructions because I am not internet savvy. Only free app that has successfully alerted this old lady to auroras. So big thanks for connecting me to the magic and will be upgrading after a few more aurora nights.

This is a great ap, I especially like it when I and others can choose to alert others in the area of Aurora sightings. The map feature is useful too as you can see where the Aurora are happening, you can follow it and tell if it's getting closer to you or not.

I have frequently been able to find some aurora with time exposures even with fairly small percentage probability and have had a couple of spectacular events.

This app is extremely accurate, especially with its check-in option for those who actually spot an aurora. It made it possible for me to see a multi-hued aurora for the first time since childhood!

Accurate alerts. GREAT! and as an astro photography, I also use the "cloud cover" feature. 98% of the time, it's spot on.
