Merge Dragons! combines match-merge puzzle mechanics with dragon collection in a fantasy world. The game targets casual players seeking relaxing progression systems with strategic depth through item combination and camp management.

Detailed Review

Merge Dragons! presents a fantasy puzzle game where players combine objects to heal a magical land corrupted by Zomblins. Developed by Gram Games Limited, the title occupies a distinctive position in the mobile gaming market by blending match mechanics with persistent world-building elements, creating a hybrid experience that has maintained a 4.5-star rating through sustained player engagement. The core gameplay revolves around merging identical items—including dragon eggs, trees, and treasures—to create higher-value objects that advance progression. Players manage both level-based puzzles and a persistent camp where dragons can be housed and developed. The economic system requires careful resource management, as dragons enter sleep states after performing tasks, creating natural pacing mechanisms. Premium currency (gems) allows for accelerated progression through dragon nests and special items, though many systems remain accessible through free play. User experience benefits from a colorful, consistent art style featuring diverse dragon designs and smooth merging animations. The interface provides clear visual feedback for successful combinations, though some players report occasional saving issues requiring manual progression preservation. Real-world usage patterns suggest the game serves as a secondary activity rather than primary engagement, with sessions typically lasting 5-15 minutes for casual merging and resource collection between energy regeneration periods. User feedback trends highlight appreciation for the non-intrusive ad implementation and long-term engagement potential, as evidenced by Jennifer Smith's July 10, 2025 review noting years of continued play. However, Diane Spicer's July 13, 2025 critique references early-game pacing issues with sleeping dragons limiting activity. Lydia Carlise's July 16, 2025 review confirms persistent technical considerations regarding save functionality, though these appear offset by overall satisfaction for most players. The game demonstrates strengths in its satisfying progression systems and extensive content library, though limitations include energy mechanics that may frustrate players seeking continuous engagement. Ideal use cases involve intermittent play sessions where gradual collection and combination provide relaxing entertainment rather than competitive or time-sensitive challenges.

actually relaxing but brain work figuring out levels! worth the premium land i bought. Still playing years later! Originally found this game through MistPlay. And now that I have a new tablet, I can install it and earn while playing again! I'd play this game even if get-paid-to apps disappeared. I just love Merge Dragons (Except those hideous Rick and Morty dragons.. they need to go)

This game is absolutely amazing. You get yo see lots of different dragons and the art style is beautiful. I've spent around 30 dollars on this getting gems to get some of the nests of dragons and I honestly think is was worth it. The best part is that it doesn't force you to watch ads. The only time you have to watch ads is when you want to get a free thing that requires you to watch an ad for it. One thing I wish though is that I could get rid of some things that take up too much space. ❤️

I really like to play the game to pass time. I like all of the different dragons, the fun levels, and my little camp. I also like that you can level up the dragons homes so that they wake faster. EDIT: I've realized it's best to play only as a pass time, as the action dies down quick. Not a bad thing, and after getting more dragon power, there's more to do. Very fun! One problem, even though I have cloud save activated, my mom cant visit my camp, and I cant visit hers. I think its a glitch.

Great game wish it would let you open more nest chests I spend at least 60 dollars on this game, but it's fun and helps me sleep at night It's gotten a lot better. Over the years. Update...Still got the game. I almost have the whole map open so it's possible. Love this game. So easy to use lots of stuff I've had this game for over 10 years. I still find new eggs and dragons it's never boring
