Detailed Review

INMOST, developed by Chucklefish Limited, enters the Android adventure game market as a compact yet dense experience focused on interwoven narratives and environmental puzzles. Positioned among indie titles that prioritize mood over action, it distinguishes itself with a minimalist art style and a somber tone, appealing to players who enjoy games like Limbo or Inside but with a unique emotional depth. The app does not aim to reinvent the genre but instead refines familiar mechanics to deliver a cohesive story. Core functionality revolves around controlling multiple characters across a haunting landscape, each with distinct abilities that unlock new pathways. Players navigate through dimly lit environments, solving physics-based puzzles that often require manipulating objects or timing movements precisely. Key features include a non-linear narrative revealed through collectible items and environmental cues, touch-optimized controls for jumping and interaction, and a save system that allows progress across sessions. The game’s pacing encourages methodical exploration, with puzzles that range from straightforward lever-pulling to more complex sequences involving character switching. In real-world usage, INMOST performs reliably on most modern Android devices, with load times staying reasonable and touch responses feeling intuitive during extended play. The interface remains unobtrusive, though some users might find the control scheme slightly cramped on smaller screens during intense platforming sections. Scenarios such as commuting or quiet evening sessions highlight its strength as a portable story-driven experience, where the atmospheric soundtrack and visual design enhance immersion without demanding constant attention. While no user reviews are available yet, early feedback from similar titles suggests potential trends: players often praise atmospheric games for their emotional impact but occasionally critique puzzle difficulty spikes. For INMOST, this could translate to appreciation for its narrative depth alongside concerns about occasional obtuse puzzle design. Reviews from other platforms indicate that the emotional payoff resonates well, though some note that the minimalist approach might not suit those preferring action-heavy gameplay. Overall, INMOST presents a well-crafted adventure with strong artistic direction and engaging puzzles, though its niche appeal and occasional control limitations on mobile may not cater to all audiences. The app succeeds in delivering a memorable, mood-driven experience but falls short in accessibility features, such as adjustable difficulty settings. It stands as a commendable option for dedicated adventure fans, balancing creativity with minor functional trade-offs.

Bought it straight away! I was looking forward for this to come to mobile! Enjoying it a lot so far but I encountered a couple of quite serious bugs/glitches for example not being able to pause the game, not being able to continue from your save file which is quite a problem and the settings also doesn't save the changes I made. I also noticed some heavy lags and stutters here and there on certain areas but they're very brief so that's a bit weird. Hope it'll get fixed on the next update soon.

Awesome game, beautifully ugly and well worth the small price. Only complaint is I wish I could make the buttons bigger. However, the game has enough saves that if I die because of missing the tiny buttons I can retry pretty much right where I died.

Played the demo version. At first I thought it was just a simple puzzle game and definitely wasn't expecting story, multiple choice of action and has real good ambiance to it.I would definitely buy the full version in the future.(I save the cat)

I played the demo, and it's amazing! I definitely plan to buy the full game, but I can't seem to purchase it right now. When I click the button to buy the game, the Google Play checkout doesn't appear!

Very cool game- I love the somber colors and lighting effects. Fairly unique game, with some tricky puzzle elements that get balanced out by some action sequences. While it can feel slow at times- it is by no means a deal breaker because the game is as intriguing as it is... Overall, this is great game and is well worth the asking price! 5 stars!
