Hello Neighbor delivers a unique stealth horror experience where players infiltrate a neighbor's house while facing an AI that adapts to their strategies. The Android version brings tense cat-and-mouse gameplay to mobile with some technical limitations.

Detailed Review

Hello Neighbor presents a distinctive approach to mobile horror gaming, positioning itself as a psychological stealth title rather than traditional jump-scare horror. Developed by tinyBuild, the Android version translates the core PC and console experience to mobile devices with mixed results. The game's central premise involves investigating a suspicious neighbor's basement while avoiding detection, creating persistent tension throughout gameplay. The game's most notable feature is its advanced AI system that dynamically adapts to player behavior. The neighbor character learns from repeated player actions, placing traps in frequently used entry points and developing new patrol routes based on successful infiltration patterns. This creates an evolving challenge that requires players to constantly modify their strategies. The environment features interactive physics-based puzzles, destructible objects, and multiple entry points that encourage experimental gameplay approaches across the multi-story house environment. User experience on Android reveals both strengths and limitations in implementation. The touch controls feature context-sensitive interaction buttons for grabbing, throwing, and hiding, though some users report inconsistent jump mechanics requiring double-tap inputs. Visual presentation maintains the game's distinctive stylized aesthetic but suffers from texture pop-in and occasional frame rate drops on mid-range devices. The mobile interface includes customizable control positioning and sensitivity options, though the complex environments sometimes challenge precise mobile navigation. User feedback consistently highlights technical issues alongside appreciation for the core gameplay concept. Multiple reviews from June and July 2025 specifically mention graphical anomalies with character models, particularly regarding 'flat and weird' hands (Zachary Becker, 2025-06-16) and 'broken' character visuals (Aaron Lucas Tiamzon, 2025-07-02). The monetization model receives criticism for locking later acts behind additional payments, with Romel Zeidan (2025-06-27) noting this as the primary drawback. Positive feedback emphasizes the game's nostalgic value and engaging core mechanics despite these technical shortcomings. The Android version delivers an innovative horror experience hampered by technical inconsistencies. Its adaptive AI system creates genuinely unique gameplay moments that differentiate it from static horror titles, while the environmental puzzles provide substantial replay value. However, persistent graphical issues and the premium paywall for content completion diminish the overall experience. The game best suits players seeking cerebral horror rather than action-oriented gameplay, particularly those willing to overlook technical imperfections for innovative AI-driven design.

This is a very nostalgic game to me because this used to be my favorite game so five stars at least the only con that this game has is that you have to pay to play act 2 act 3 and the final act so for that I hope that tiny build change's this con to be like as it was all for free just please change this con because many other people have the same problem.

I really loved this game. the way they designed it was awesome and it was challenging and super realistic. People might rate 1 or 2 stars because they say the quality are not good because it's there problem. If your device is fine, the game also will be fine. So don't hate this lovely game. I have full support.👍👍👍
