I heard about it through Instagram, and really wanted to be able to speak intelligently about politics so I downloaded it and paid for the first year. I really enjoy using it as it gives me the overhead of what is happening with the personalized news headings using AI. It also gives you the left right and center perspectives of what's happening and links to websites if you want to read more about it. I use it in place of Instagram now. I think it's worth it.
The app is nice enough: decently speedy and clear in its design. Sometimes the built-in browser fails to properly show an article, but this is probably the fault of the horribly designed cookie-walls and other UX killing features of the news outlet website rather than this app. The widget has been greatly improved in the latest update, and so has my rating.
I value the transparency and context provided by Gound News. Most information we receive comes with a perspective or bias. Ground News allows me to easily consume news with insight by presenting it from different perspectives. If we want to grow and evolve beyond the echo chambers that we're comfortable with, we should try to understand the varying perspectives that exist in news today. That's why I subscribe to Ground News. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
A must if you read the news. One thing, why the left/center/right have different colors compared to web?
this is the best current events "news" app I've ever used. I love the breakdowns and the substance of the articles. It's not just one paragraph and a bunch of ads. It's a very valuable resource in 2025 with all the misinformation being spread by the mainstream media. It's a shame the app isn't free because everyone should have access to this kind of unbiased reporting of facts. But this is America, money makes the world go round, as they say. But if you can afford it, it is definitely worth it.
