Detailed Review

Greedy Cave: Rebirth represents Avalon Network Media's refined approach to the roguelike dungeon crawler genre, positioning itself as a more accessible alternative to its predecessor. The game preserves the fundamental loop of exploring procedurally generated caves, battling monsters, and collecting loot, but introduces quality-of-life improvements that change the overall player experience. This version maintains the series' identity while appealing to players who found the original's difficulty curve overly steep. The core gameplay revolves around descending through multiple cave levels while managing health, mana, and inventory space. Combat utilizes a straightforward tap-based system where timing and skill selection determine success. A notable addition is the relic system, which provides permanent bonuses that persist between runs, reducing the frustration of complete progress loss. The equipment enhancement mechanics allow players to improve their gear using resources gathered during exploration, creating meaningful progression even after unsuccessful dungeon attempts. The game also implements an escape scroll mechanic that lets players exit with their collected items if used before dying. In practice, the game feels more measured than its predecessor, with difficulty spikes appearing less frequently. The interface presents clear information about enemy strengths and weaknesses, allowing for strategic combat preparation. Inventory management remains crucial, as players must decide whether to discard lower-tier items for potentially better ones deeper in the cave. The controls respond well to touch inputs, though some users note occasional misclicks during intense combat sequences. The visual style maintains the dark, atmospheric aesthetic the series is known for, with improved character models and environmental details. User feedback indicates widespread appreciation for the more forgiving progression system. Reviews frequently mention that the reduced penalty for failure makes the game more enjoyable for casual play sessions. One player noted, 'The game is more enjoyable compared to the original version. Old version is more extreme and despair when losing. This version is more friendly, can play at ease.' However, some veteran players of the original express mixed feelings about the reduced challenge, suggesting that the tension from permanent loss added to the original's appeal. The balance between accessibility and maintaining the series' identity appears to be the central discussion point among the community. Overall, Greedy Cave: Rebirth succeeds as a thoughtful revision that makes dungeon crawling more approachable without completely abandoning what made the original compelling. The permanent progression systems provide enough incentive to continue playing after failed runs, while the core loop of exploration and loot collection remains engaging. The game does sacrifice some of the high-stakes tension that appealed to hardcore roguelike enthusiasts, but this tradeoff creates a experience that will likely find broader appeal among mobile RPG fans.

So far, it was fun. The game is more enjoyable compared to the original version. Old version is more extreme and despair when losing. This version is more friendly, can play at ease. I don't know about the end part, since I am lv12, will update again after lv 50.
