Google Voice: Unified Communication

Using the app, I can no longer hear callers during calls or hear my voicemail messages from my Android Version 12 phone speaker. I can only hear when using a headset. My phone speaker works for all other apps except Google Voice now. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app as well as restarting my phone. Nothing seems to resolve the issue. What is the fix for this problem?

I have been using this app since 2013 (12yrs), it is safe to say that google Voice has been my saving grace over and over again. Also, i haven't had a cell phone bill since 2013, saving me probably in the ballpark of $22,000.00 or more over the years. i just want to say...Google...YOURE THE BEST!!!! - Cpl. Mike Akers, USMC

I've been using Google Voice for over a decade and it has been the most reliable, cost effective (free) and has the most features when compared to every other carrier plan or app. It doesn't matter if you have one of the three main service providers (Verizon, Att, T-Mobile) or a VoIP app such as Text Now. Voicemail transcripts, call recording, anonymous ID, number porting and so much more available. Plus, Voice can utilize both a carrier & WiFi for service. I'll use Voice until it's dethroned!!!

As a user since its inception, i can report that over the past two years, I have had zero issues with the service. Thank you, Google. Four years later. Still a big thank you. Great great app,

works exactly as it should crisp calls . easy to use . sometimes there is a lag. but it's an 3rd part app works as it should .
