Fire Emblem Shadows is a real-time strategy game where you must deduce who the traitor is among your allies. Prepare for battle, hunt for bargains, and discover the truth in two tales of goddesses.
Perfect for: Perfect for strategy game enthusiasts who enjoy social deduction and a compelling storyline.
Regardless of is it Fire Emblem or not, I find it quite fun. The battles are quick, the concept is great. I like the spells and the movement swap abilities. At the very least, more fun than FEH at this point, what with the obnoxious new units released constantly, trampling over every unit invested into. Since the release of fallen Edelgard the game has gone down the hill in game balance. So, this game is quite refreshing and different than anything they've ever done. 5/5
Very unique game, I enjoy it a lot. If you're willing to try something experimental with a lot of strategical expression, absolutely give it a shot. I personally also love the character designs, and the story is more interesting than you might think at first. Asymmetry is always a difficult yet fun concept to tackle in games, I think this one succeeds.
Now that I've played the game for hours. I can say it is f2p friendly, just don't focus on one character since you need to upgrade each character to level up the magics that are unlocked with them. The build and gameplay is very strategic even though the battle is automated but the magic casting isn't and you can't just cast randomly or you'll get destroyed by the shadow player, I love it. The matchmaking is also good, since each character doesn't share the same elo/MMR
A really fun and fresh approach to fire emblem. I've been a fan of the franchise for a very long time and this is a really fun mobile game that brings fire emblem gameplay with a fresh new twist. The game is well balanced, has great graphics and character design, and is easy to pick up and understanding. For those who want a casual Fire Emblem experience without committing to the AAA games, this is a great choice.
I like how you can either deceive other players or work with them to find the traitor. Good strategy, but at the same time you really have to use your brain. (i also hope to see more updates)
