We use the Bark phone and app for our middle schooler and i love how flexible the options are. I can easily add his school related apps and email but he doesnt have access to the app store or a web browser. The alerts are customizable and allow for him to have some degree of privacy while still keeping us abreast of any concerning activity. I really wish the location feature was more real-time (this really is a 4.5 star review), but the check in feature mitigates that problem

We have the bark phone after many failed attempts to monitor with different parent apps. Bark has by far been the absolute best decision I have made regarding my teens phone use, it can be frustrating sometimes when it has a bug (which usually is resolved very quickly). The big issue is the phone is a very basic type phone with a mediocre camera (the newer phone is slightly better camera). I also wish it could do rcs style chats. Even with those things I plan to use this for each of my kids.
This is an amazing program. It's so easy to set up, and that's coming from a not so tech savvy parent. I'm definitely telling all of my friends
